3-21-19: Modified Rules will be posted soon.
The Deal: First Jack Deals. The deal rotates clockwise. Cards must be properly shuffled. Offer a cut to the person to the RIGHT. Use the cut card to cover the bottom card. Cards may be dealt in groups of 2's and 3‘s. If a card is flipped over during deal or improperly dealt, redeal (no points).
Bidding: Clearly state your call. If you call a loner, clearly state your intention before a card is led. Once the dealer buries a card, you CANNOT go alone. When a player declares a Loner, his/her partner MUST place their hand, face down on the table. The partner is not allowed to look at the kitty during a loner attempt. The partner may collect cards.
Play of Cards: All cards should be played out. “Showing” is allowed as long as all players agree at the beginning of the round. Do not toss your cards in or bury your cards in the pile until the round is concluded. Collect and stack all tricks neatly. We suggest each person take in their own tricks. This is the simplest way to prove reneges. Reneges must be proven to award points. If a renege is called, but not proven, no points are awarded and play will continue.
Trump Cube & Cut Card: These tools are provided as a courtesy only. No points collected for non-use.
1 point – bidding team makes 3 or 4 tricks.
2 points – bidding team makes 5 tricks. Euchre. Renege. Play out of turn.
4 points – Successful loner. Renege on loner. Euchre on loner. Play out of turn on loner.
Bid out of Turn or declaring turned down trump - Loss of bid. Non-offending Team can declare trump.
